Does this violate Google’s terms?

No. Customers are free to leave feedback. The system simply provides an organized, private step first which is a common best practice for customer experience. Any negative feedback comes to you (rather than Google) so that you can address it privately with the customer rather than publicly on Google.

Can customers still leave bad reviews?

Customers can always choose where they leave feedback. This system dramatically reduces the likelihood of public negative reviews by improving the experience and giving customers a private outlet. We filter out the negative feedback before it gets to Google, but that doesn't stop someone from going directly to Google to leave you a bad review.

We find that our clients receive very few (if any) negative reviews because they are able to deal with negative feedback before it gets to Google and the customers ends up happy and doesn't feel the need to take any more action.
